The fixtures of the leagues were announced at a lengthy
meeting at the SFF headquarters here in Mogadishu on Sunday. The meeting gathered
SFF authorities and club chairmen.

Said Arab said in a press statement that the country’s football year has almost
arrived and the SFF had come to decision to first start the Division B & C
leagues while the A level league is expected to follow afterwards.
"These leagues are most important for us and we are gathering
our power and efforts on them because the Division B & Division C leagues
are part of our youth development program and we hunt our future junior
national team members from these competitions” Somali Football Federation
Secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab explained in his press statement Sunday.
He noted that the Somali Football Federation spent a
plenty of efforts in the participating clubs in a bid to have a professional
Division B & C leagues which are more developed than those held in the past
years.
"The chairmen of the clubs and their coaches had done
everything in their capacity and they really played a key role in the promotion
of football in Somalia---on the behalf of SFF I praise them for their tangible
moves taken for the development of football in the war-devastated country”

He indicated that the clubs made very adequate and huge
preparations for the upcoming two leagues and as a result the SFF was very
hopeful that the 2013 competitions will be more interesting and competitive adding
that the SFF is expecting more talented future national junior team members
from the upcoming Division B and Division C football leagues.
