Somali Football Federation has inaugurated a new competition, the General Da'ud Futsal Cup, not to be confused with the General Da'ud Football Cup, an event that has been running every year since its inauguration in 1972.
"General Da’ud deserves more than two remembrance events every year, but this is what we have planned so far and I am confident we will be able to do a lot in his remembrance” the president explained.

Jazeera Hotel Futsal team won the inaugural edition of
the prestigious new competition which brought together 10 futsal teams and

Army, the SFF has been holding the annual General Da’ud football Cup since 1972
and as Somalis have much love and respect for the late renowned general, we
have decided to organize another event, as a single event is not enough for the

edition of General Da’ud Futsal Cup.
